Extreme brightness and Sony's second-gen Slim Backlight Drive create some of the most dramatic high dynamic range pictures yet.
Sony has upped its game in every way with the £2,400 55XE9305. Its picture processing is better. Its design is better. Brightness is substantially higher and does a much better job of unlocking the full glory of high dynamic range content than last year’s XD93 series. Colours are delivered with an extraordinary intensity and richness that’s only being witnessed once before: on Sony’s much more expensive ZD9 flagship TVs .
This is a check up on of the vertical back light zones on the 2017 65 Sony 900E TV.
The Sony W800C LED TV features Google's Android TV. It has good picture quality in a dark room, and it doesn't reflect a lot of light. However, it can't get very.
This model does not run Playstation Now the way the box advertises it does. When I could not figure out how to make it work, I contacted Sony and was told the feature did not work on Android TVs yet, and would be updated in the future. The box clearly states the feature is available. Do not buy if you are looking to stream PS games.

The XBR65X930E has the new Slim Backlight Drive+ whereas the original Slim Backlight Drive was used by the XBR65X930D. Besides the aforementioned variation in the LED rows placement, there is a significant difference in the dynamic range. Thanks to the X-tended Dynamic Range PRO 10x, the XBR65X930E has up to ten times the contrast range of a conventional edge LED TV without local dimming capabilities. For comparison, the XBR65X930D had up to three times the dynamic range of such conventional LED TV, according to Sony. This means that the local dimming and boosting on the XBR65X930E is carried out with increased precision, which in turn leads to the XBR65X930E being less susceptible to blooming artifacts (i.e. halos around bright objects against a dark background), depending on how challenging the scene is. Furthermore, the XBR65X930E can resolve more details in specular highlights than the XBR65X930D.

Extreme brightness and Sony's second-gen Slim Backlight Drive create some of the most dramatic high dynamic range pictures yet.
Android TV continues to frustrate, and there’s a backlight clouding price to pay for the TV’s high brightness levels. That said, Sony"s X930E series nonetheless improves on Sony’s 2016’s Slim Backlight Drive models in every way, delivering in the process some of the most spectacular pictures ever seen on a TV in 2017.

Sony XBR65X930E test. X930E vs X930D comparison.
And here's another perspectives from other people (thanks to ultimate master) and why i choose Sony X930D or Z9D as our premium choice is the slim backlight drive. It's what they shown at the conference with Days Gone with the cocktail Molotov, the TV will have a specific lit brighter for fires, sunlight, lights, and other artifacts that should be brighter in reality, you'll get it on your TV. All PS4 with HDR10 will give you that experience. Most TVs this year have a cheap edge-lit backlight. Samsung's dynamic settings can take advantage if edge-lit with some trailers where everything goes dark before going to a new scene, but it's nowhere near as impressive as what Sony is offering. To give a perspective, Samsung promotes HDR 1000 for 1000nits of brightness, it's an industry standard. The X930D of Sony goes to 4000nits for specific areas of the Screen. Far better lighting than any other LED TVs. So if you want to go high-end, this is the LED TV to get.
